Pure theatrical magic. This production captures the play's whimsy and wonder while never forgetting its emotional truth. The fairy sequences are breathtaking, and the comedy lands perfectly.
Written in the mid-1590s, A Midsummer Night's Dream showcases Shakespeare at his most playful and inventive. The play weaves together three distinct worlds—the Athenian court, the realm of the fairies, and the "rude mechanicals" rehearsing their play—into a seamless tapestry of comedy and enchantment. Our production emphasizes the transformative power of the forest, where social rules dissolve and true feelings emerge. From Puck's mischievous interference to Titania's bewitched infatuation with the donkey-headed Bottom, from the lovers' tangled quarrels to the hilariously awful play-within-a-play, every scene delights. This is Shakespeare's comedy of imagination, perfect for audiences of all ages. Running time: 2 hours 30 minutes including one interval.

Program
Act One
In ancient Athens, Hermia flees into the enchanted forest with her true love Lysander to escape an arranged marriage, pursued by Demetrius and the lovesick Helena. In the fairy realm, King Oberon and Queen Titania quarrel, leading Oberon to command his servant Puck to use a magical love potion. Meanwhile, amateur actors rehearse a play for the Duke's wedding. Chaos erupts as Puck mistakenly enchants the wrong lovers and transforms Bottom the weaver with a donkey's head.I

Act Two
The enchanted lovers quarrel in comic confusion whilst Titania dotes absurdly on the transformed Bottom. Oberon orders Puck to restore order, and as dawn breaks, the lovers awaken with their affections properly aligned. The play concludes with a triple wedding at the palace, where the mechanicals perform their hilariously dreadful tragedy of Pyramus and Thisbe. The fairies arrive to bless the newlyweds, and Puck reminds us that perhaps we too have only dreamed.
